Genesis Elevator Company is breathing new life into this old cotton mill in Monroe, Georgia.
Founded in 1895, the Monroe Cotton Mill produced textiles for more than 90 years. In 2008, a local family bought the retired mill to save it from demolition. Since then, the mill has undergone renovations and restorations to preserve its historic character while opening up the facility for use.
Now, the building will become the new home of Industrial Furnace Company, complete with a three-landing elevator that will be installed by Genesis Elevator in the first quarter of 2022.
