Jay Arntzen is the Founder and CEO of Genesis Elevator Company. With an exceptional 24-year career at a major global elevator company, he brings a wealth of experience to his leadership role. He founded Genesis to deliver industry-leading solutions while emphasizing values-based leadership, exceptional business acumen, and a clear vision for the organization.
Before founding Genesis, Jay held various positions in the elevator industry, including sales, marketing, product development, project management, field operations, and senior management as a National Vice President of Operations. He remains involved in every facet of our company’s operations, focusing on building highly motivated and productive teams to deliver outstanding results.
Under Jay’s guidance, the Genesis team–from sales and operations to licensed installers and technicians–works closely with customers to identify their unique needs and implement cost-effective, efficient solutions.

Matt Geers, President of Genesis Elevator Company, has been with the organization since 2014. In his current role, he works alongside the leadership team to drive the company’s vision, strongly emphasizing project quality, customer service, and team alignment.
Before becoming president, Matt held various roles within the organization, gaining valuable insights and experiences that shaped his leadership and management approach. From working as a mechanic and technician to working in sales, supervising the service department, managing company finances, and leading as Vice President, he has witnessed our organization’s quality of work and dedication at every level. Such extensive experience has been instrumental in his professional path.
Matt holds a BA in Education and an MA in Ministry, accomplishments that have lent him a distinctive lens alongside insights and skills that have shaped his creativity and growth.
Outside of the office, Matt likes to read, exercise, and spend time outdoors with his family–whether camping, hiking, or watching his children’s baseball or softball games.
Ricky Knight
Director of Operations
As Director of Operations at Genesis Elevator Company, Ricky Knight oversees our organization’s daily activities, working closely with our sales and installation departments to ensure efficient and optimized processes meet our clients’ design, installation, and maintenance project requirements.
Ricky joined Genesis in 2019, and since then, he has been playing a critical role in bridging our strategic vision with the best execution, ensuring our organization runs smoothly and provides the best customer service and elevator solutions. He brings over 15 years of experience in production management, specifically vinyl home decor, where he held key supervisory roles that informed his approach to daily operations and his dedication and drive.
Outside of work, Ricky enjoys spending time outdoors–fishing, hunting, or riding motorcycles.
Patrick DiBartolomeo
Director of Sales
Patrick DiBartolomeo is the Director of Sales at Genesis Elevator Company, where he oversees the home installation and sales teams of our Georgia and Florida offices. Since joining our team in 2022, Patrick has played a pivotal role in our enhanced sales and lead generation procedures, ensuring we always deliver the best customer service and high-quality projects.
Before joining Genesis, Patrick held sales positions in media for over 20 years, including television and cable advertising. He also ventured into the food and beverage industry as a restaurant owner. Backed by his extensive sales experience and entrepreneurial spirit, Patrick has significantly impacted our organization’s direction and continued growth.
Patrick holds a BA in Communication from the University at Buffalo and a BA in Education from the State University of New York at Fredonia. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, watching sports, and working on his home. Recently, he has been updating the basement of a newly acquired property.
